Timothée Giard
admitted to the Bar in Paris and Madrid

Timothée Giard has gained experience in both law firms and working for companies. After having practiced with the US-based firms of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Gibson Dunn LLP, Timothée Giard joined LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton acting as the Chief of Staff to the Vice-Chairman prior to founding GATE AVOCATS.

Timothée Giard's main practice areas include EU and French competition and consumer laws, both for corporate advice and for litigation. Timothée Giard has also developed significant expertise advising clients with regards to all Digital-related legal (on-line distribution and e-commerce). He also has a significant expertise in corporate law and transactional advice.

Timothée is a law lecturer at the Paris Institute of Political Sciences (Sciences Po Paris).

Julien Augais
admitted to the Bar in Paris

Julien Augais' primary areas of expertise include transactional advice and corporate litigation. He practiced with Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and Davis Polk Wardwell LLP, for seven years prior to founding GATE AVOCATS.

Julien Augais has represented both French and international clients, notably from the financial and banking sector, industry and distribution. His areas of expertise include securities, M&A, corporate governance and restructuring. In his litigation activity, Julien appears before the civil, commercial and criminal courts. He also has significant experience in arbitration and market regulation litigation.

Julien Augais taught contract law at the Université Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris I).

Julien Mougel
Admitted to the Bar in Paris

Julien Mougel’s practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, securities law and corporate law. Before joining GATE AVOCATS, Julien worked for more than 11 years with Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, including as a partner, and for three years with BNP Paribas.

His expertise covers acquisitions, disposals and restructurings of corporations. As regards securities laws, Julien has advised French and foreign issuers in tender offers, squeeze-out operations, share and bond issues, IPOs and share buy-back programs, as well as in the drafting of their annual reports, prospectuses, OMs and in their public communication. Julien has further developped significant experience in corporate governance matters, regulatory issues relating to investment service providers and management companies, and more generally in corporate law matters.

Julien has lectured for several years at Institute for Political Sciences (Sciences Po Paris) on international aspects of M&A and at the Nancy University on tender offers.

Arnaud Larrousse
admitted to the Bar in Paris

Arnaud Larrousse is a recognized advisor in mergers and acquisitions and securities laws. Arnaud works with a wide variety of French and international clients, mostly listed companies, which allowed him to develop an extensive experience of transactions, restructurings and a strong knowledge of business litigation. Arnaud also works regularly on corporate governance issues.

Since 2011, Arnaud Larrousse was responsible for France of Bird & Bird LLP corporate practice. Arnaud Larrousse began his career in 1998 at Rambaud Martel where he became partner in 2004, now Orrick Rambaud Martel since 2006.
